Premature babies can do very well, even the small ones. Whilst there can be many problems and many hurdles the outcome can be good. Kirsty was only    1 1/2 pounds when she was born, but she has done well. Yes we had some scares with her and life is still up hill but each day she gets older stronger and catches up. These little miracles need their Parents and Grandparents. They still need all the love and attention even though they maybe small and in special care. This site is for those parents who may face an uncertain future, but to give hope and confidence that "little miracles" do exist and like Kirsty, we hope that your little miracle does well. Grandparents? Please help as best you can. Not only does that little baby need you so do the parents. Some people do not like what they see on a special care unit. And if you do not know what something is, then it can be unnerving. But with an in-site on Kirsty's home page we hope that you will see and be prepared for "premi" times.
